Established in 2000, the Nashville Post is a premier subscriber-based news publication. We deliver breaking business, health care, political, real estate and sports news online at nashvillepost.com and twice daily through our email newsletters. Our print magazine, published one to three times a year, offers more feature and long-form pieces. The Nashville Post also periodically produces events including the In Charge leadership luncheon, the Most Powerful Women luncheon, and political candidate forums.

The Nashville Post is seeking a part-time Temporary Digital Editor to support daily digital operations during a six-week editorial leave period. This role will handle core digital tasks that keep our newsroom running smoothly — including newsletters, website updates, copy editing and social media.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone with digital production or editorial experience.
Responsibilities
Assist with AM and PM newsletters, working closely with managing editor
Update the website daily, including homepage maintenance and quality checks
Review reporter uploads for formatting and accuracy
Post and schedule social media for all stories
Provide light editing support when other editors are unavailable
Help design, editorial and marketing communication about Leaders publication
Qualifications
Experience in journalism, digital media or newsroom production
Strong digital workflow skills (CMS, newsletters, social media)
Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently
AP Style familiarity
Local Nashville experience or knowledge preferred
Hybrid availability; regular phone calls with managing editor and reporters; occasional in-person meetings
Hours & Schedule
Around 20 hours/week, Monday – Friday
To start the position, you will be onboarded by the editor-in-chief to learn the systems and schedules. There will also likely be an offboarding period to help the team transition after the EIC returns from maternity leave.
