Account Executive

FW Publishing is home to some of Middle Tennessee’s most trusted and influential media brands, including Nashville Scene, Nfocus, Nashville Post, and Williamson Scene. We connect local businesses with engaged audiences through print, digital, email, events, and experiential marketing solutions while celebrating the culture, creativity, and community that make this region special.

We are seeking an experienced Account Sales Executive to join our Nashville-based revenue team. This is an opportunity for a proven sales professional to build meaningful client partnerships and create integrated marketing solutions across some of Nashville’s most recognized media brands. This is more than a traditional sales role—it’s an opportunity to work at the intersection of media, marketing, and community impact.

Position Summary

The Account Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and driving revenue through strategic advertising and marketing solutions across FW Publishing’s portfolio.

The ideal candidate has a successful track record in media sales, advertising sales, sponsorship sales, or a comparable sales environment. This role requires someone who is confident prospecting, building relationships with decision-makers, managing a sales pipeline, and closing revenue-generating partnerships.


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in consultative sales, account management, or client partnership roles required. Experience in media sales, advertising sales, hospitality sales, sponsorship sales, marketing services, public relations, agency/client management, or other comparable revenue-generating industries preferred.

  • Proven success meeting or exceeding revenue based goals

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to independently manage a pipeline and prioritize opportunities

  • Ability to quickly learn how to navigate CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools

  • Bonus: Experience in digital, social media, or integrated advertising sales

  • Appreciation for (or eagerness to learn about) Nashville Scene, Nfocus, Nashville Post and Williamson Scene 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities to grow FW Publishing’s revenue

  • Hit daily/weekly/monthly KPI numbers 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional businesses

  • Create customized advertising and marketing proposals across print, digital, email, social media, events, and sponsorship opportunities

  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of clients through strategic account management

  • Own the entire sales process from initial outreach through contract execution, billing and ongoing account maintenance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation: $50,000–$60,000 base salary, plus an uncapped commission opportunity tied to new business development and client growth. Additional performance-based bonus opportunities are available based on revenue achievement and key sales metrics.

Additional Information

  • This is a Nashville-based position requiring in-person client meetings throughout Middle Tennessee
